Inheritance

I named my Blog It’s Urbirthright….Why you may say? Well once I became a true follower of Jesus Christ I found out that I was a joint heir with Jesus. Whaaatt you may say… a joint heir? Yes a joint heir and with this inheritance comes benefits. Just as our earthly parents or relatives may leave an inheritance behind for their children so has our Father in heaven given to us an inheritance. So I decided to share in this blog some thoughts, encouraging words, as well as some of the benefits of being an heir. Here is a benefit *Heirs of all things – “The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.” (Rev. 21:7)
Scripture tells us that in Romans Ch 8 vs. 15-17 that we are heirs…Romans 8:15-17 Amplified Bible (AMP) 15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! 16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. 17 And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him];
Stay tuned to find out about more benefits….Yours in Chris Carla 

Persistence Conquers All…

Perhaps it’s LOVE that conquers all…Today I choose to merge the two together. (Persistent LOVE) There will be no denial in my Love for you….what a powerful decree and declaration on to day. I know that today is Valentine’s Day and some people are compelled to do something special today. Why don’t you do that special thing just because I love you today or any day for that matter? The Bible says LOVE is the greatest gift. Let’s choose to be persistent in Love today and every day. What area in your Life or who in your Life could you could show persistent LOVE too? In doing so, you will conquer all that God has ordained for you.
1 Corinthians 13:13 Living Bible (TLB)
13 There are three things that remain—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Confidence

What is confidence? a feeling or belief that you or someone can do something well or succeed at something : the feeling of being certain that something will happen or that something is true

Synonyms: Trust, Belief, Faith, Credence, Conviction

Where do you have your confidence?  Is it in yourself?  Is it in your job? Is it in your spouse? Now, I’m not saying that to have confidence in those areas are necessarily bad things.  But, it is when they supersede your confidence in Jesus; a problem could arise.

This was an area I had to visit in my life.  Many years ago I had become so self-reliant that I put self, job, spouse, and Jesus all on the same level. I would even say I placed self slightly above them all. As circumstances arose and I began losing control in the areas I thought had straight, my confidence was shaken.

Only when I humbled myself and had “a come to Jesus meeting” that I realized that I was doing everything in my own strength.  I did not even notice what I was doing and how out of order I was.  It was in my time with the LORD that he began to show me my error and teach me.  You better believe I began correcting that error quickly. In all of my abilities I give God the Glory for real this time not just lips service but in heart service.

I simply shared with you to encourage you that putting your Confidence in Jesus is a sure thing.

Procrastination

Procrastination – the action of delaying or postponing something: to be slow or late about doing something that should be done : to delay doing something until a later time because you do not want to do it: because you are lazy: to put off intentionally and habitually: to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done…

Synonyms:      Deferment, Postponement, Stalling, Delay, Adjournment, Putting Off….

No matter how you dress it up with another synonyms Procrastination is just plain ugly.  This has been a struggle for me for a long time.  Just admitting it emits different emotions…

  • relieved that I said aloud
  • ashamed that it has been a struggle
  • angry that I had not mastered this thing

But GOD…He has placed many people in my Life to provide the push I needed to move.  In some areas I am moving full speed ahead you know that comfort zone we can move in with ease.  It is in the unknown that I have faltered.  The Big Thing that God has required me to do. The thing I have very little control of once it’s out there. I have had 2 books sitting in my computer for years, yes years and out of fear of the unknown or possible rejection weather it is real are all in my mind I did not move.

But GOD in His infinite wisdom knew I would come to the end of myself and ultimately do what He wanted me to do.  Once I had enough, of letting my insecurities, past disappointments, the enemy or any other thing that kept me from moving forward I would publish these books.  So now that I have publicly announced that I will publish these books you and I can look forward to their release in the very near future. I do Thank the Lord for this journey and His Faithfulness.

“Exposure”

Today I took my youngest boys to an Art Exhibition and book signing.  This was their not their first art exhibition but on this occasion they were able to meet and greet the artist.  He was quite friendly and took time to talk the boys about their artistic skills and abilities.  The author was very friendly as well and turned out I knew her.  I must say I am very proud of her and wished her much success. She along with several others have unbeknownst to them have inspired me to finally complete the final stages of my two books.

Now, I certainly see the value in this evening as a parent and as a teacher and I believe my children will see the value as well.   Surprisingly, the boys were excited to be there.  I would love to see more students exposed to this type of  culture.  This is where exposure comes in, the “Right Exposure” can inspire a child to do what seems to be impossible.  This “Exposure” could inspire the next great Vincent van Gogh or Pablo Picasso perhaps the next Langston Hughes, or Ernest Hemingway. The possibilities are endless.

While we were there we happen to run into one of my children’s teacher and she was happy to see the kids at this event. She is currently working on brining her class to see this very exhibit.  I certainly wish her much success in this endeavor.  Exposure – what is your child’s gifting, talent, niche and are you exposing them to what could lead them to greatness. Think about it. 🙂
