The Blessing of Thankfulness: Embracing Gratitude

Gratitude isn’t just a fleeting emotion; it’s a profound acknowledgment of the goodness that surrounds us daily. When we pause to express thanks, we’re tapping into a timeless wisdom that enriches our lives in unexpected ways.

In Psalm 103:2-5, the psalmist beautifully captures this sentiment: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy.”

Imagine a life where every moment is infused with gratitude—a heart that overflows with appreciation for the big and small blessings alike. It’s like discovering hidden treasures in the ordinary, finding joy in the simplest gestures, and embracing a deeper sense of fulfillment.

As we practice gratitude, we awaken to the beauty that often goes unnoticed. It’s about opening our eyes to the intricate tapestry of blessings woven into the fabric of our existence. From the laughter of loved ones to the warmth of the morning sun, each moment becomes a testament to God’s goodness.
Join me on this journey of gratitude. Let’s celebrate the goodness that surrounds us, foster a sense of awe for life’s beauty, and embrace each day with a heart full of thanks.

HOPE

The God we serve is such a restorative Father.  His unfailing Love for us never ceases and His mercies are new to you and I every morning.  Wow, every morning I am able to draw on new mercies to start my day.  What an Amazing promise and your faithfulness is so great. My soul rejoices in the truth that the Lord is my portion and I shall HOPE in Him.

These scriptures (Lamentations 3:21-24) share the heart of God where we are concerned.  God’s plan for our lives has been and is currently restorative and redemptive.  His Love for you and I does not end, it is persistent and unmovable towards us.  Now more than ever we need to lean into Him for He is our portion.  Me, MySoul, and I shall HOPE in the LORD.

Today I choose to watch the Lord restore my home, my city, my state, my country, and my world.  I will not let the distractions and destructions of 2020 keep me from witnessing and receiving the Blessings of the Lord.  With every new day I receive new mercies that redeem and restore my life. Lord I Thank You.

Master the Instruction

Master the Instruction its your Turn…

In my quiet time of prayer meditating in the morning Holy Spirit began highlighting Peter and his occupation which was that of a fisherman.  I began to recall that he had a fishing business, and this was how Peter provided for his family.  As I pondered this, I transition into reading my devotional and scriptures and there it was the story of Peter the fisherman, the taxes, and the coin in the fish’s mouth.

Not 5 minutes earlier I was receiving a word from Holy Spirit and now I am reading the very scriptures about Peter the fisherman, the fish and the coin.  And on this morning the thoughts of Peter were highlighted so bright.  Not only was fishing his job, his profession, and how he provided for his family, but it was his Gift.  It was his gift that took care of his family. His profession, his gifting, was used to provide for his family and pay his taxes without any hindrances.

In Matthew Ch 17:24-27 we read about the temple tax. Peter was confronted about Jesus paying taxes.  If you know the story, then you know that Peter says yes Jesus pays the tax but immediately returns to Jesus to ask if it is so.   After a brief dialogue, Jesus instructed Peter to go to the lake throw out a hook and the 1st fish caught would have a Gold coin in its mouth.  This coin would be enough for Jesus’s taxes and Peter’s taxes. Peter followed the instructions of the LORD and received the blessing.

It was the instruction from Jesus and the obedience of Peter to go fish and  the coin would be in the mouth of the fish to pay not only Jesus’s taxes but Peter’s taxes as well.  It is time to Master the Instruction.  The Lord is instructing you today to accomplish an assignment given to you.  Perhaps he’s already instructed you in times past and you have not obeyed the instruction.  Now is the time for your obedience. If Jesus says it then it is so.  It is now your responsibility to do as He instructed, and His instructions are to your benefit.

HINT/CLUE

Jesus told Peter to go do something he already knew how to do.  Jesus put His supernatural on Peter’s gift of fishing.  What is your Gift? Jesus is waiting.

Mark 11:23 Prayer for Today:

Today let’s believe the word of God.

Father I sit and listen for your instructions for me in this day.  I pray to have the boldness and the courage to carry out the instructions that you give to me. I know it is in my obedience to the instructions, that your will is done in the Earth realm.  And through my obedience I receive the benefits, rewards, and the blessings of your Supernatural abilities in my life.   I thank you Lord when I Master the Instructions that you give me, I am successful and reap an amazing harvest in Jesus’s name Amen.
