“Exposure”

Today I took my youngest boys to an Art Exhibition and book signing.  This was their not their first art exhibition but on this occasion they were able to meet and greet the artist.  He was quite friendly and took time to talk the boys about their artistic skills and abilities.  The author was very friendly as well and turned out I knew her.  I must say I am very proud of her and wished her much success. She along with several others have unbeknownst to them have inspired me to finally complete the final stages of my two books.

Now, I certainly see the value in this evening as a parent and as a teacher and I believe my children will see the value as well.   Surprisingly, the boys were excited to be there.  I would love to see more students exposed to this type of  culture.  This is where exposure comes in, the “Right Exposure” can inspire a child to do what seems to be impossible.  This “Exposure” could inspire the next great Vincent van Gogh or Pablo Picasso perhaps the next Langston Hughes, or Ernest Hemingway. The possibilities are endless.

While we were there we happen to run into one of my children’s teacher and she was happy to see the kids at this event. She is currently working on brining her class to see this very exhibit.  I certainly wish her much success in this endeavor.  Exposure – what is your child’s gifting, talent, niche and are you exposing them to what could lead them to greatness. Think about it. 🙂
