✨ Your Calling is Greater Than Your Comfort Zone

Recently, I shared a powerful truth with my Women in Pursuit of Purpose Facebook group that stirred something deep not only in them—but also in me. As we wrapped up a session, I heard myself say: “Your calling is greater than your comfort zone.”

And I felt the weight of those words settle into the room (and into our hearts). Today, I want to expound on that thought and shine a bit more light on what it means—because I believe it’s a message for you, too.

✔️ The Assignment Requires Courage

God never calls us to a life of ease—He calls us to a life of obedience. The moment you say “yes” to purpose, you must also say “no” to comfort. Why? Because:

  • Purpose stretches you.
  • Calling challenges you.
  • Destiny demands movement.

We see it in Scripture time and again. Moses had to leave the desert. Esther had to walk into the king’s court. Peter had to step out of the boat. And each one of them had to face the same decision: Will I stay in what’s comfortable…or will I move in what’s calling me?

✔️ Fear Delays Purpose—Boldness Activates It

If fear has been speaking louder than faith, you’re not alone. But here’s the truth:

  • Fear delays.
  • Comfort excuses.
  • But BOLDNESS activates.

When we choose boldness over fear, we activate doors, divine connections, and supernatural provision. The moment you decide to obey, heaven starts moving on your behalf. 📖 Joshua 1:9 reminds us: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

God doesn’t ask us to go alone—He promises His presence, power, and provision every step of the way.

🔥 Your Inheritance Is on the Other Side of Obedience

You were never meant to camp out in your comfort zone. Your inheritance—your next level, breakthrough, business, book, ministry, or mission—is on the other side of a yes.

And that “yes” might be scary, risky, and even lonely. But it is also sacred. Because God meets you at the place of your obedience.

🙌🏽 Remember:

  • God’s will doesn’t always feel safe. But it’s always secure.
  • Your calling isn’t casual—it’s Kingdom.
  • You weren’t born to be comfortable. You were born to conquer.

📝 Final Thoughts

As you reflect on this, I challenge you to ask yourself: Where have I chosen comfort over calling? What small step of obedience can I take today? It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be bold. Let this post be your nudge, your confirmation, and your encouragement to rise up and walk in it.

Because your calling is worth it. And so are you.

LESSONS from 2020 and Entering 2021

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

This scripture is packed with promise….

I know for myself that God causes EVERYTHING to work for my good.   2020 has worked for my good….

Now there are some qualifiers…for this promise 1) those who LOVE GOD…and 2) those who are Called according to His purpose for them…

As believers we know that we Love God and we are Called according to His purpose in our lives.  I was like Ok Jesus thank you for this promise.  Holy Spirit just reminded me that even 2020 will work for my good.     So, I created this list of lessons…in no particular order.

  • Increase my Faith, Purpose, Peace Each one of these are connected to Destiny
  • A Spirit of Resilience – It was important to not quit and succumb to the despair and the oppressive atmosphere in 2020…in each circumstance Look for GOD in the midst His banner is over us
  • LIFE is truly precious – take time to tell your Love Ones you Love them and spend quality time with them
  • TIME is a precious Resource – you have 24 hours to complete your task don’t waste your time on non-producing activity and don’t waste other people time
  • Intentional with all activity – be ever present in all that you do and be deliberate in your actions
  • Hope and Expectations are important and connected to FAITH – believing in the dream or vision will manifest
  • The past & present are building blocks for your Future – use your past and present experiences to help navigate 2021
  • Pajama days are Real and Therapeutic
  • Listen to the Holy Spirit the 1st time
  •  Obey the instructions of the LORD the 1st time
  • Invest in yourself – knowledge is Powerful
  • Gratefulness and Kindness – build character and is needed in this season
  • Leave a Legacy and an Inheritance for our children and our children’s children
  • Slow Down and breath…

Let’s Launch in 2021 with a Powerful Prosperous Presence and Purpose.

Yours in Christ,

Prepared for Purpose

On yesterday I was able to watch and listen to Antoinette Tuff give an account for her God given heroic actions on August 20th 2013. She was the school bookkeeper that saved her school, students, and staff from an armed gunman that had enough ammunition to kill everyone in the school. As she told that amazing story her resounding words were Prepared for Purpose. All of the trials and tribulations that she faced in her life and that she was presently going through at the time of the incident circumspectly had Prepared her for Purpose.

Her story so moved me on yesterday that I began to give God thanks all over again for the times he has brought me through. Having children of my own I could feel for parents that have gone through and or experienced a similar situation. I myself have experienced a similar situation. My oldest so was in high school when fellow classmates began an argument that escalated and suddenly a gun was introduce into the confrontation.
My son whom his close friends teased and called “Superhero” got in the middle of the two boys and shut it down. No one was hurt and All turned out well. While all of this was happening at school parents were getting notifications via phone call from an automated service at school of a LOCK DOWN. Once I received the call I started to grab my keys and rush to the school but Holy Spirit, stopped me and I began to pray and send Angles on Assignment to protect that campus and all people involved not just my son. The fact that my son assisted in the settlement of that confrontation was revealed to me at a later date.

I’m sharing this because we are faced with trying times and as parents, teachers, and all other titles we carry; it is imperative that we pray and not react. Prayer is what saved that school in Georgia back in Aug 2013; Antoinette Tuff had spent time with God that morning as she did every morning. So when the gunman came in to Kill, Steal and Destroy she was able to ask God for help. God has a way of keeping us clam in times of danger so we can be Prepared to handle life’s trials. You can view a brief clip of this amazing story on the 700 Club; the taping was aired on 2/21/14. To God Be The Glory
