Bless. Build. Impact. — Living the Light

Bless. Build. Impact. — Living the Light

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven. — Matthew 5:14–16

There’s something about light. It changes a room. It lifts a mood. It helps you see clearly. But in Matthew 5:14–16, Jesus tells us we’re not just carriers of light — we ARE the light.

And that light? It’s not meant to be hidden. It’s meant to Bless. Build. Impact.

1. Bless — Your Light Brings Benefit

Think of the last time someone’s kindness turned your day around. That’s what blessing looks like.
When you let your light shine, you’re offering hope to the discouraged, encouragement to the weary, and comfort to the hurting. You’re adding value to someone’s life simply by showing up with love, compassion, and truth.

Blessing is contagious. One act of kindness often sparks another. And when the world sees light like that, it takes notice.

2. Build — Your Light Strengthens Others

Light doesn’t just brighten a space — it reveals what’s possible. Your words, actions, and faith can build courage in someone else. They can strengthen a friend’s resolve, help a coworker find clarity, or inspire a neighbor to take their next step in faith.

Building takes intentionality. It’s not about quick fixes but about sowing seeds of truth, encouragement, and wisdom that help others grow.

3. Impact — Your Light Creates Lasting Change

Here’s the beautiful part: when your light blesses and builds, it naturally makes an impact.
Impact isn’t just about big moments; it’s about the lasting imprint you leave on someone’s heart. It’s the way your love points them toward God. It’s the conversation that shifts their perspective. It’s the consistent example that whispers, “God is real. His love is here.”

Your Light Matters

Jesus didn’t say, “Try to be the light.” He said, “You are the light.”
That means your life is already positioned to bless, build, and impact — right where you are. At work. At home. In your community. In your church. So today, step onto the candlestick. Be that city on a hill.
Let your light shine, and watch God use it to change lives.

You Are a Builder, Not a Bystander

Sis, let me remind you: you are not just passing through life waiting on permission—you are a builder.

God did not create you to stand on the sidelines and spectate while others shape culture, raise families in strength, launch businesses, or lead ministries. No, Queen—you are equipped, anointed, and assigned to build something that lasts.

“The wise woman builds her house…” – Proverbs 14:1

You’ve got the tools.
You’ve got the vision.
And you’ve got the favor of Heaven backing you.

But here’s the truth—many of us shrink back and play small. We second-guess our influence. We delay the project. We call it “waiting on God” when really, God is waiting on us to believe we’re more than bystanders.

Builders move with intention.
They lay bricks even when no one applauds.
They speak life even when the room is silent.
They honor their homes, their gifts, their time—not because it’s easy, but because it’s purpose.

You are building when you:

  • Speak peace into your children
  • Show up to work with integrity
  • Pray over your home and make decisions that protect your peace
  • Launch that idea even though it scares you

Stop downplaying what God has given you. Bystanders watch. Builders worship through action.

So here’s your Divine Reminder:
You are not just here to exist—you are here to establish.
You are not just floating through—you are forming something.
You are a Kingdom woman on assignment.

Let this be your declaration today:
I am a builder. I lay every brick with vision, every word with wisdom, and every step in faith. I don’t wait for the world to validate what Heaven has already confirmed. I build for the Kingdom—on purpose, with purpose.

So, Sis—what are you building in this season?

Because watching time pass is not your birthright.
Building legacy is.

Grace That Empowers, Mercy That Embraces

Grace That Empowers, Mercy That Embraces

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

God extends a powerful invitation to us—one that encourages intimacy, boldness, and trust. He doesn’t ask us to come timidly, fearfully, or hesitantly. Instead, He says: Come boldly. Why? Because we are not approaching a throne of judgment, but a throne of grace.

In this sacred space, two things await us:

1. Mercy – God’s Compassion Toward Our Condition

When we come before God, we obtain mercy. Mercy is God’s tender compassion toward us. It’s His willingness to withhold the punishment we deserve and instead extend forgiveness, pity, and loving-kindness. Mercy meets us in our lowest moments—in our sin, our suffering, our weakness—and says, I see you, and I still love you.

Mercy says:

  • “I understand where you are.”
  • “I have compassion for what you’ve been through.”
  • “I forgive your mistakes and heal your wounds.”

Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us:

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning.”

This means we never run out of mercy. God’s compassion is not only available—it’s abundant and renewed daily.

2. Grace – God’s Empowerment for Our Journey

After we obtain mercy, we find grace to help in time of need. Grace is more than unmerited favor—it’s divine empowerment. It is the supernatural strength to endure, to overcome, and to fulfill what God has called us to do. Grace lifts us when we feel weak, equips us when we feel unqualified, and carries us when we cannot carry ourselves.

God doesn’t just show you kindness—He gives you power to endure and overcome.

2 Corinthians 12:9 declares:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

This means we don’t just receive sympathy for our struggle—we receive strategy and strength for the struggle. Grace doesn’t eliminate the process; it equips you to go through it with victory.

So how do we respond?

  • We come boldly—without shame, fear, or hesitation.
  • We come consistently—not just when things are good or bad, but as a lifestyle.
  • We come expectantly—knowing that God delights in responding to the cry of His children.

In summary:
At the throne of grace, you receive:

  • Mercy for your past and present condition
  • Grace for your future and your fight

You are not alone. You are not helpless. You are not without hope.

God has opened the way—so draw near, ask boldly, and receive both His heart (mercy) and His hand (grace). He is ready to meet you where you are and empower you to walk through whatever lies ahead.

Stand Strong in the Spirit of the Lord: An Encouragement for Believers Facing Spiritual Warfare

Dear Beloved in Christ,

In the face of spiritual warfare, it is vital for us to remember that we are not alone. The Spirit of the LORD is our strength and refuge, empowering us to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Here are some encouraging truths to hold onto when you find yourself in the midst of spiritual battles:

1. You are Empowered by the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, providing guidance, strength, and comfort. In Acts 1:8 (NIV), JESUS promised, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses. Trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to lead you and give you the strength to overcome every challenge.

2. GOD is Your Protector

GOD promises to protect and fight for you. Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV) reassures us, Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my GOD, in whom I trust. Seek refuge in GOD’s presence, knowing that He is your shield and stronghold.

3. You Have the Victory in Christ

Through JESUS’ sacrifice on the cross, the ultimate victory has already been won. Colossians 2:15 (NIV) states, And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Stand firm in this victory, knowing that no power of darkness can prevail against you.

4. Use the Word as Your Weapon

The Word of GOD is a powerful tool in spiritual warfare. Hebrews 4:12 (NIV) says, For the word of GOD is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword. Equip yourself with Scripture, meditate on it, and declare it over your life to counteract the enemy’s lies and temptations.

5. Pray with Persistence

Persistent prayer is essential in spiritual battles. Ephesians 6:18 (NIV) encourages us to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Maintain a fervent prayer life, seeking GOD’s guidance and interceding for strength and protection.

6. Trust in GOD’s Faithfulness

GOD is faithful and His promises are true. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) reminds us, No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And GOD is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. Trust that GOD will provide a way out and help you stand strong through every trial.

7. Encourage One Another

In times of spiritual warfare, it is crucial to support and encourage each other. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV) urges us, And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another. Surround yourself with a community of believers who will uplift and pray for you.

Stand Firm in Faith

Dear believer, stand strong in the Spirit of the LORD. Remember that the battle is not yours, but GOD’s. Lean on His strength, trust in His promises, and walk in the victory that JESUS Christ has secured for you. When you feel weary, remind yourself of GOD’s unchanging love and faithfulness. He is with you, fighting for you, and will never leave you nor forsake you.

Be encouraged, stay vigilant, and let your Faith be a beacon of hope in the midst of spiritual warfare. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you (Romans 8:37). Stand firm and be strong in the LORD!

Fortify

What is fortify and how do I successfully establish this in my home.

A couple of months ago the Holy Spirit said FORTIFY.  I was like what do you mean LORD. Fortify what?  HE spoke again saying Fortify.  So, I sat still and began to listen to what the Holy Spirit was telling me.  He said Fortify everything.

So, I began with defining fortify so that I had a clear and complete understanding of what the Holy Spirit was telling me.

Fortify according to the dictionary defined it as a verb – to strengthen a place with defensive mechanisms to protect it from attacks.  Another definition defining Fortify was to invigorate a person mentally or physically or a building or a place by restoration, reviving, refreshing, or rejuvenating it.  This reminded me of Nehemiah and the defenses of Jerusalem.

How to fortify your home:

You must first identify all breaches in your home.  Once you have identified where you have holes, cracks, and gaps in your walls you make preparation to repair them.   Now you must assess what supplies you will need (The WORD) to repair them. Determine whether you need some patch work (Confessions) or do I need to repair a section, by strengthening the entire wall and you rebuild by using (Fasting and Praying) by the word of the Lord.

How to fortify your family’s health:

You must identify the areas in your family’s lives where the enemy has taken ground.  Once you know where the enemy has taken ground in your Children and your Spouse you prepare yourself with the word of God to go and repair those areas.  Where health is a concern you combat sickness and disease with health, healing and wholeness scriptures for example by his stripes I am healed.  The Lord sent his word and healed them from all disease and destruction, or healing is the children’s bread that is our portion.  These are some of the scriptures you can use to go after those areas with the word of God. It is important that we arm ourselves with the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God.

How to fortify your finances:

Fortifying your finances is a must too, attacks on your finances must be strengthened with the word of God. Using scriptures like there is no lack in the Kingdom of God.   Isaac sowed in a famine and reaped a hundredfold, my God shall supply All my needs in riches in His Glory, my God is sufficient, He gives me daily bread, are just a few of the promises you must learn and apply to your life.  God has a glorious inheritance for his children to lay hold of Hallelujah.  We must utilize them daily.

How to fortify your (Atmosphere):

If there is strife and contention in the family you begin to wage war and fortify your home with Peace, the peace of God that surpasses understanding, Great is Jesus’s Peace therefore Great is my Peace and my composure is undisturbed.  Peace is a gift given to us from Jesus.  Jesus says my peace I give you, how amazing is that.  I have Jesus’s Peace working in me.   To God be the Glory I don’t have to rely on my own but what Jesus gives.

How to fortify your children!

If you have school-age children, they too must be fortified and strengthened with the word of God on how to be a Christian servant leader; how to be a Christian influencer and live a life that’s up right in the eyes of the Lord.  Learning to combat social norms like bullying, disrespect, speaking negative words over themselves and or others will have to be taught and practiced.

For our children to remain the Christian influences that we are raising them to be; we as parents need to continuously plant the word of God in them as well as plant the heavens on their behalf.   When I say plant the Heavens I mean speak, declare, decree their DESTINY in prayer.  Our children will enhance their culture, they will shift atmospheres with the peace of God that rest on them.  When our children come into a room in the name of Jesus, Favor, Grace, Peace, Mercy, Authority, and Power follows.

My Prayer:

Anything lost in battle, anything stolen, anything misplaced, and mishandled by myself and or my family Lord I repent right now in Jesus name.  I ask for forgiveness in all areas Lord and I thank you for the strategy of Fortify.

Lord God I thank you that you will not forsake me and you will not leave me.  Even though it seems I have lost so much, been under so much oppression you are my Lord My God and you will defend me and my family.  I thank you for the strategy to fortify my life, my family, my home, my children, my spouse, and my belongings.  Everything that belongs to me that you have given me stewardship over Lord strengthen me as I strengthen my walls so that it is all protected.  I thank you for the Nehemiah anointing to repair, restore, revive, rejuvenate, refresh and rebuild all to completion.   Father I give you Glory and Honor in Jesus name Amen.

Look to the HILL!

Psalm 121:1

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

What are you need of today? Is it your health? Has the enemy robbed you today or yesterday in any area of your LIFE.  What are you Looking at.  I have come to rely on this scripture more and more.  My mother-in-law quotes this scripture ALL the Time.  I never knew why this was her go to scripture but as I have grown in the word of and as an adult I know what it truly means.

When I hear this song by Travis Green I am reminded of several scriptures but this one especially.  Psalm 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  The Bible tell us we are the healed.  We as Believers, Christians, Children of the Most High God, the Remnant, or whatever adjective you are claiming today on the cross, on that hill, “Calvary” that Jesus said it is finish.

Today we operate in the finish work of Jesus.  We now have power and authority that was given back to us and all finished work at the cross is Ours.  So your healing is finished.  I’m dealing with healing today.  I have so many people connected to me that are being plagued in their bodies with sickness and disease and unrest and people of GOD that is not our portion.  You were healed at Calvary sickness and disease is trying to come up on you.  Whose report will you believe? Where are you Looking? What is your heart set on? Your healing/healed state of being or what the enemy and symptoms are saying. Today lets BELIEVE God.  8/22/2016

PRAYER6975079-green-hills

I pray for a Supernatural Revealed Word to be released over your Life today.  I plead the Blood of Jesus over every area that is contrary to the word of God concerning your body.  You are healed from the top of your heads to the soles of your feet.  No weapon shall by no means prosper against you I pray for divine health to manifest Now in Jesus name.  You are healed, You are whole, You are set free in Jesus name.  Lord we Thank you Right now in advance for you finished work in our lives in every area.  In Jesus name Amen.

Confession for Strength

Confession for Strength

The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

I love the LORD my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my strength. It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet.
I look to the LORD and his strength; I seek his face always. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to me. For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. I am committed to you Lord. I am your servant, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand.

Lord I shall return to you and obey your commands, and I know that even if my descendants are in exile at the farthest horizon, your word says that You will gather them from there and bring them to the place You have chosen as a dwelling for Your Name.

I am your servant and I am your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant who delights in revering your name. Give me success today by granting me favor in the presence of man.

I love you, O LORD, my strength.   You LORD are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.   I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.

I thank you Lord for the strength that you have given me today. I pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen,

Carla Mormon/August 5, 2010

Mothers

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you who have been blessed to become MOTHERS. Oh what a great gift we have been given. Now it is our privilege to raise these children. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. My, My, My, that is an amazing promise.

As parents we: influence and impart into their lives we also instruct them. Let us not take for granted this wonderful gift and let’s treasure it. Let’s unite and raise the next God revering children that will carry the Gospel to the world. I count it all joy to raise my boys.

I pray and ask God to Bless and strengthen you as parents. I pray that divine instruction be imparted into you so that you are well able to instruct your children. Thank you Lord for the favor shield that surrounds our children, In Jesus name.

Oh To Be Led…

Oh to be led by the Holy Spirit. It really is the only way to live. It we are left to our own devices we may coast for a while but eventually our worlds come crashing down. I know I need a Savior, for He is my strength and help.

His guidance and leadership in my life helps to keep me from the traps and pitfalls in this world. Even if I happen to make a wrong decision I know from firsthand experience God delivers. I just want to take this opportunity to Thank the Father for always having my back and my family’s back as well.

I recently read something very disturbing by someone I love and I immediately wanted to put them in check but the Holy Spirit stopped me and ministered to me on 2 thing…First to get my spirit correct but I was about to react in the flesh in the Name of Jesus (which is all kinds of wrong) and Second how to respond by not responding. Holy Spirit showed me that this person is truly Lost spiritually and how to intercede for them. I will have an opportunity to speak with this person and when I do I will have the correct (Holy Spirit Filled) words to benefit that soul.

I leave you with this one thing….Hate the Sin and Love the Person……
