God Will Strengthen, Establish, and Settle You

Life will bring trials. That is not a faithless statement; it is a biblical reality. We will face circumstances, situations, challenges, seasons of pressure, and moments that test our faith. Some trials will touch our personal lives. Others will affect our children, spouses, families, loved ones, ministries, health, finances, emotions, or future.

But here is the hope of the believer: trials may come, but they do not get the final word.

The Bible reminds us in 1 Peter 5:10: “But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” — 1 Peter 5:10, WEB

What a powerful promise. Peter does not pretend that suffering is not real. He does not ignore pain, pressure, spiritual warfare, or hardship. Instead, he teaches believers how to stand in the middle of it and reminds them that God is still working even after seasons of suffering.

The God of All Grace Is With Us

Peter calls Him “the God of all grace.” That means God has enough grace for every season, every trial, every burden, every family matter, every disappointment, and every place where we feel weak.

There is grace to endure.
Grace to keep praying.
Grace to remain humble.
Grace to cast our cares on God.
Grace to resist the enemy.
Grace to stand when life feels heavy.
Grace to recover after suffering.

This passage is not just a promise; it is also a prayer. Peter is praying that God Himself would complete the work in His people. He is praying that after they have suffered “a little while,” the Lord would restore them, confirm them, strengthen them, and establish them.

The King James Version says He will “make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

That word “settle” is a blessing all by itself. It reminds us that God does not just bring us through difficulty; He brings us into stability. He knows how to settle our hearts, settle our minds, settle our families, settle our faith, and settle our steps.

Suffering Is Not the End of the Story

One of the enemy’s tactics is to make us believe that our suffering is permanent. He wants us to think the pressure will never lift, the battle will never break, the tears will never stop, and the situation will never change.

But Peter reminds us that suffering is for “a little while.” That does not mean the pain is small. It means the pain is not eternal. It means hardship has a limit under the hand of God.

The same God who allows us to walk through seasons of testing is the same God who restores, strengthens, establishes, and settles us.

Your trial is not greater than God’s grace.
Your circumstance is not stronger than God’s hand.
Your challenge is not bigger than God’s purpose.
Your suffering is not the end of your story.

Peter’s Instructions for Standing Through Hard Seasons

Before Peter gives the promise in verse 10, he gives instructions in verses 6–9. These instructions help us understand how to posture ourselves while we are waiting on God to strengthen and establish us.

First, Peter says to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. This means we surrender our timeline, our control, our fear, and our understanding to the Lord. Humility says, “God, I do not understand everything, but I trust Your hand over my life.”

Second, Peter tells us to cast all our anxiety on God because He cares for us. We are not called to carry every burden alone. We can bring our worries, concerns, family situations, and private tears to the Father because He cares deeply for us.

Third, Peter tells us to be sober and watchful because the enemy seeks whom he may devour. Trials can make us vulnerable. Pain can make us distracted. Weariness can make us spiritually careless. That is why we must remain alert in prayer, rooted in truth, and covered in the Word of God.

Fourth, Peter says to resist the enemy, standing firm in the faith. We do not resist the enemy in our own strength. We resist him by standing on God’s Word, refusing agreement with fear, continuing in prayer, and remembering that we are not alone.

Peter reminds believers that other brothers and sisters in the faith are also enduring suffering. That means our trial is not proof that God has abandoned us. It is part of the human experience, but we are held by divine grace.

Practical Faith Steps for Standing

When life feels heavy, we can stand by practicing these faith steps:

  1. Humble yourself before God. Begin with surrender. Pray, “Lord, I trust Your hand even when I do not understand this season.”
  2. Cast your cares daily. Do not let anxiety build up in your heart. Release your concerns to God in prayer.
  3. Stay spiritually alert. Pay attention to your thoughts, your words, your emotions, and your agreements. Do not let fear preach louder than faith.
  4. Resist the enemy with the Word. Speak Scripture. Declare truth. Refuse to let the enemy define your future.
  5. Remember you are not alone. Others are standing too. Stay connected to godly community, prayer, encouragement, and wise counsel.
  6. Believe God is establishing you. Even when you feel shaken, God is working stability, strength, maturity, and endurance in you.

Kingdom Principle

Trials may shake the season, but they cannot overthrow the believer who is being strengthened, established, and settled by God.

God does not abandon His people in hardship. He meets them there. He gives grace there. He teaches them there. He strengthens them there. And when the time is right, He establishes them with a deeper faith, a stronger foundation, and a settled spirit.

You may be walking through something right now. Your loved ones may be walking through something right now. But take heart. God sees. God knows. God cares. God is able.

After this, there is strength.
After this, there is restoration.
After this, there is establishment.
After this, there is settling.
After this, there is glory to God.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You that You are the God of all grace. Thank You for caring about every burden, every trial, every circumstance, and every challenge we face. Lord, help us humble ourselves under Your mighty hand. Teach us to trust You even when the season is difficult. Help us cast our cares on You instead of carrying anxiety in our hearts. Strengthen us where we are weak. Restore what has been broken. Establish us where we have felt unstable. Settle our minds, our hearts, our homes, our families, and our faith. We pray for our loved ones who are walking through trials. Cover them. Keep them. Strengthen them. Remind them that suffering is not the end of their story. Let Your grace meet them in every place of need. We resist fear, discouragement, confusion, and every attack of the enemy. We stand firm in faith, knowing that You are faithful, present, and powerful. After we have suffered a little while, may You restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us. To You be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Faith Declarations

I declare that the God of all grace is strengthening me.

I declare that my suffering is not the end of my story.

I declare that God is restoring, establishing, strengthening, and settling me.

I declare that I will not be overtaken by fear, anxiety, or discouragement.

I declare that I am standing firm in faith.

I declare that my loved ones are covered by the grace and care of God.

I declare that God is bringing stability where there has been shaking.

I declare that after this season, there will be greater strength, deeper faith, and a stronger foundation.

I declare that God is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in me. Amen.

Creators Create

Creators enjoying HIS creation.

Creators Create

May Prophetic Release

God is a creator and He created us in His image and in His likeness.  We are His Handiwork and His Workmanship.  We are His creation therefore we are creators.

We are in an accelerated season of CREATION CREATING.  We must get clear instructions about our purpose and destiny and begin Creating.  The atmosphere is ripe for our creations to manifest.  Your creative minds have been moving at exponential speeds lately and you hardly have time to write down what Holy Spirit is revealing to you.

Do not delay any longer write the vision, write the invention, write the plan, write the idea down.  In the same manner as you write you are creating.  Creating the vision, Creating the invention, Creating the plan, Creating the idea and now you can read it and run with it.

NOW is the time to create and release what the Lord has given you.  We are Creators and therefore we create rise up sons of God and Create.

Prayer:

Father I thank you for creating me in your image and in your likeness.  I rise up and take my rightful position in the kingdom and begin to create as you have purposed in me.  For I am your workmanship and I am created unto good works in Christ Jesus as you have ordained before the foundations of the world in Jesus name I pray. Amen

Yours in Christ,

Rooted in CHRIST

I was reading my devotional this morning and it was based off John the Baptist’s doubt while in prison. If you are familiar with John then you know he was passionate about his assignment in the Earth realm.  So to see him go from that passion and zeal to doubt and unbelief was a bit revealing this morning.

We as believers must be so rooted in Christ that even in persecution (prison) we have no doubt in the God we serve.

Until we are filled are exquisitely shielded with the power of God we may be defeated by the power of Satan.  We cannot allow the suggestions of Satan to dethrone our knowledge of the power of God.

John the Baptist was a great man of God and his assignment was to declare the coming of the Messiah. He was the Forerunner to Jesus Christ himself but while John was in prison John began to experience doubt. During this time of imprisonment the enemy slipped in and planted of thought in John mind.  John the Baptist started thinking maybe he had made a mistake.  Perhaps Jesus was not who he thought he was.  After all here John is in prison.

John the Baptist sent 2 of his followers to question Jesus the Messiah as to who he was if he was truly the Messiah or was he mistaken.   Jesus responded in Matthew Chapter 11 versus 4-5 Jesus answered and said go tell John the things which you here and see:  the blind see;  and the lame walk;  the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear;  the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Satan merely made a suggestion and inserted it a negative thought pattern into John’s mind and John received it.   He began to doubt all that had transpired which is why he sent two of his disciples to question Jesus.   As Christians or as believers we must be fully persuaded in the things of Christ Jesus.   We must not be moved by our situations or our circumstances whether things are in our control or not.   We must truly walk not by sight but by faith not wavering at our surroundings.

The Lord has truly given us power and authority over the suggestions, thought patterns, and abilities of our adversary. Until we truly rise up and move in this truth then we will succumb to the deceptive patterns of the enemy.   Satan uses the same strategy on Eve when he told her has God truly said you would die; back in Genesis.  The enemy uses the same tactics over and over it is our responsibility, it is our job, and it is our duty to recognize his handiwork.

The funny thing is he uses the same things over and over merely making suggestions that cause us to doubt. He plants negative seeds by way of suggestive thoughts or people around you who have no knowledge of Christ’s true power.  They have no true revelation of who they are in Christ So they continually say negative words.

I declare and decree no longer will we fall to the deceptive patterns of the enemy. I pray over our minds that we have the mind of Christ and that we have the ability to see God’s handiwork in the earth in/and over our lives.  Lord God I pray that we have the ability to see the enemy’s deceptive plan and patterns. Lord I pray we are able to discern when the enemy has planted people in our lives to speak doubt and unbelief around us.  I pray that we not come into agreement with anything contrary to the word of God.

Father God we repent right now in the name of Jesus for every thought, word and seed planet of doubt or unbelief within our hearts we are now in sync with our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.   In the name of Jesus create a new heart and renew a right Spirit within us Lord.  I pray that the word of God and that the spirit of Wisdom, Revelation and Knowledge be portion in Jesus’s name Amen

The Father KNOWS!

Monday morning’s prayer call was truly a Blessing and all who were on can attest to that.  I had a couple of parents make prayer request and praise reports.  I also had a parent to thank me for the particular prayers that came forth.  I thanked her and responded to God be the Glory.  Well early Monday evening I received a phone call from a friend who is also a Parent on ARISE: Praying Parents conference call.  She was the parent that thanked me for the particular prayers.  The prayers resonated with her spirit and she had a confirmation later that day.  Her confirmation came when she read a text message from her child that lives away and had experienced a traumatic event the night before.  This event included life endangerment and a SWAT team.

BUT… can I say BUT GOD.  The Lord intervened on her behalf.  Her daughter is Ok alive and well.  MOM wanted me to know how thankful she for the prayers that went forth.  Once again I say To God be the Glory.  This is but one Praise Report that I have received on ARISE: Praying Parents.  There are so many.

The prayers ministered that morning were placed on my heart that Sunday night.  The weight of the prayers were with me when I woke up so I would not deviated and pray those Specific prayers.  Oh my, to be Obedient.  Lord I Thank You.

Praying Wives Strategies 2/26/14

If you have visited this site before then you may be aware of the Arise: Praying Parent page where there is information on a prayer conference call.  Well Arise Praying Parents was birthed 6 months after the Praying Wives United Group.  We share the conference line; Mondays we pray for our children and Wednesdays we pray for our husbands.  Both calls pray the word of God according to the Bible.  We have had much success and many testimonies.  This morning I shared some Strategies that the wives could use in order to see some success, transformation, relief, encouragement and strength.  Of course there was so much more I could have shared but here is where I was encouraged to start.  This list can be used for you children as well.  Be encouraged Saints of God that the Lord is Good and He answers your call in time of distress.

  • It’s your praise and thanksgiving that will pull you out….of the pit
  •  80/20 rule: are you focusing the one or two things that work your nerves or will you celebrate the 80% and watch God take you to 81%, 82%, 83%, 84% ect…and now all you can see is growth…..and an improved marriage, child, friend, ect…
  •  Are you doing your God given assignment in the Earth…if you stop focusing on him/husband and give God more energy you will see a turnaround….
  •  What are you praying and who is praying with you? I refuse to ask just anyone to pray with me. You better know what they believe in.
  •  Don’t look at the situation, circumstances, problem (LOOK AT JESUS)
  •  Don’t pray out of place prayers; don’t charge the atmosphere unbelief, ask Jesus to help your unbelief…
  •  It’s really not about where I want him/husband to be but it’s about where the Lord wants Him to be….so when I pray for my husband I ask and partner with Holy Spirit for the Lord to make him the Man of God that he is called to be….

A sound marriage, family, and life is part of our inheritance; even through trails and tribulations we are more than conquerors.
